🔧 Latvian Electrical Material Wholesalers' Association (LEVA) Guidelines for Low-Voltage Power Distribution Boards
The Latvian Electrical Material Wholesalers Association (LEVA), in cooperation with leading Latvian electrical designers, low-voltage switchgear manufacturers, and electrical engineers, has developed official guidelines (v1.0) to support the specification, design, manufacturing, and commissioning of low-voltage power distribution boards.
- Applicable to boards up to 1000 V AC or 1500 V DC
- Suited for indoor and outdoor installations
- Intended for energy generation, distribution, conversion, and control systems
📐 Structure of the Guidelines
- 12 parameter groups: including short-circuit resistance, installation methods, IP ratings, and more
- Excel-based configuration template with over 130 selectable technical attributes
- Standard distribution board types: main distribution, outdoor cabinets, control and automation units
🛠️ Commissioning Requirements
- Aligned with Latvian regulations, EU directives, and IEC/LVS standards
- Outlines required documentation, test protocols, CE marking, and routine verifications
- Includes a control form template to support acceptance and compliance checks
